Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Planner - Troy, AL in Troy, Alabama

Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control’s (MFC) Pike County Operations site in Troy, AL is a multi-shift, manufacturing facility which integrates complex mechanical and electronic assemblies. The facility specializes in both low volume / high mix and high-volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Pike County Operations has a manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

Responsibilities include:

Planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions in support of a final assembly and test production operation. These activities include maintaining production system integrity, inventory accuracy and driving optimization.

Coordinating with manufacturing, engineering, quality, program and site Production Planning & Control (PP&C) stakeholders to provide shop floor control on make parts.

Coordinating with supply chain stakeholders to determine appropriate time phased plans for parts and executes processes to ensure deliverables meet production schedule requirements.

Participating in change board process to coordinate changes to the BOM and impact to inventory and manufacturing processes with engineering.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience /combined education.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and obtain an interim secret clearance prior to starting.

Working knowledge of Material Resource Planning, Warehouse Management and Manufacturing Execution Systems.

Experience communicating with peers, leadership, and internal customers effectively on multiple platforms (face to-face, virtually, email, Skype, etc.)

Valid driver’s license.

Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Desired Skills:

Three or more years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR one or more years of experience with a Master's degree.

Working knowledge of SAP and Apriso WM Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control.

Manufacturing operations experience.

Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists.

Understanding of MRP / supply and demand management.

Demonstrated ability to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Demonstrated ability to work well in both a team environment and alone.

Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.

Green Belt certified.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
