A Mechanical Designer job in Troy, MI is currently accepting applications. This is a contract position with our key automotive client. In this role, you will be responsible for the Design and release of vehicle sub-systems and components from initial concept through to production release. To be considered for this role, you will have a B.S. Degree in Engineering along with 7 years of related experience.
Mechanical Designer Job Responsibilities: *Design and release of vehicle sub-systems and components from initial concept through to production release *Participate in design reviews based on program needs to ensure quality and timely delivery of designs and communicating design status and open issues *Maintain close contacts (through WebEx, emails and phone) with assigned customer base to capture design and development
Mechanical Designer Job Requirements: *B.S. Degree in Engineering *Minimum of 7 years of hands on CREO experience *Knowledge of vehicle packaging *Knowledge of Windchill, digital methods and tools preferred *Candidate should have knowledge and skills in the development and packaging of HEV / PHEV components and be able to resolve and develop feasible solutions *Candidate must be a self-starter, motivated and works with minimal guidance *Ability to work effectively in a team environment, Lead design reviews with various stakeholders to communicate status, issues and next steps
