Vanderheyden Direct Support Professional - Residential Treatment -Weekends, $25/hour in Troy, New York
Job Description
MUST BE FULLY TRAINED IN TCI. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND ALL REQUIRED TRAININGS.
Vanderheyden is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for per diem weekend shifts in our Residential Treatment program. The Weekend rate of $25/hr will be paid out for any shift from Friday at 11:00 am to Monday at 9:00 am. Qualified candidates for this role will be required to work at least one Saturday or Sunday per week, Must already have and maintain valid TCI certification , and remain up to date with required agency training including Fit for Duty physicals. Only those with proof of TCI certification will be considered.
The Direct Support Professional is responsible for maintaining an environment of care that is safe & therapeutic, providing direct care to individuals per agency policy, implementing appropriate supervision according to daily schedules, dispensing medication per agency policy, and safely transporting individuals as assigned per level of supervision required.
Requirements
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
Valid NYS driver's license
Valid TCI
Valid CPR, First Aid and AED certification
Other required trainings
