Unity House Overnight Counselor in Troy, New York

Unity House of Troy is currently hiring for a full-time, Overnight Counselor; this is an ideal position for a talented human services professional who does their best work with the light of the moon and stars.

Shift is full-time Monday - Friday 10:00PM – 8:00AM.

Position may be eligible for a $750 sign on bonus.

Responsibilities:

Provide single staff coverage in a residential setting for people living with mental health issues.

Assist individuals living at the residence as needs arrive with supportive counseling.

Provide service coordination and medication supervision for program clients.

Provide crisis intervention/emergency assistance for residence.

Ensure satisfactory functioning of the facility with light cleaning duties with possible light lifting.

Must do evening safety routines and check lists.

Promote an environment of inclusion and belonging

Required:

High School Diploma or GED with 1-year previous experience with mental health issues. Must be responsible and reliable. Strong communication skills. Reliable transportation. Must be able to work as a team and individually. Must be able to work weekend rotation.
