Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Part-Time Full-Charge Bookkeeper in the construction/contractor industry, located in Tucson, Arizona. This role primarily involves handling financial records, dealing with accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining general ledgers. This would be two days per week, on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage financial transactions using QuickBooks

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties

• Maintain and update the general ledger regularly

• Resolve customer inquiries related to financial transactions

• Monitor customer accounts and ensure accuracy of records

• Utilize MS Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal use

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accounted for

• Prepare customer invoices and track payments

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in the construction industry.

Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks software for managing financial transactions

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Strong knowledge of MS Excel for preparing financial reports and charts

• Ability to manage and maintain General Ledger

• Experience in the construction/contractor industry is advantageous

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and team members

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax requirements and regulations

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
