Our east Tucson client is searching for a Senior Accountant. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Exceptional analytical skills are required to excel in this role. This well-compensated, full-time position includes benefits and growth possibilities. Also, offers a great work/life balance.

What you get to do every day

• Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

• Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

• Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

• Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP

• Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

• Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  Requirements

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Strong communication and social skills

• 7+ years of overall general accounting experience

• BA/BS in Accounting

• Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• Expertise in general ledger

• Solid understanding of general ledger

• Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• Current and relevant ERP system experience
