University Village Security Officer - Overnight in Tulsa, Oklahoma
University Village is looking for a Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of our residents, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. The ideal candidate will be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators and have the ability to inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation.

Shift Details:
Monday, 11:00PM - 6:00AM
Tuesday-Thursday, 7:00PM - 6:00AM
Hourly wage: $15.00 - $17.00
Responsibilities
Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
Remove trespassers from the property
Secure all exits, doors and windows and monitor, as needed
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
Respond to fire alarms and other emergency events
Provide assistance to residents or staff in need
Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
Verify maintenance requests and determine whether an emergency on call visit is warranted
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Demonstrates a neat and professional appearance
Requirements
Proven experience as security officer or guard
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Familiarity with report writing
Excellent surveillance and observation skills
High School diploma is required
CLET certification preferred
Previous policing or military experience preferred
