Position Overview:

DWT has an immediate need for a CNC Maintenance Technician. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Job Duties:

  • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to proactively identify and address potential issues, including lubrication, calibration, and inspection of CNC machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems on CNC equipment to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct repairs and adjustments on CNC machines, including replacing faulty components, repairing electrical circuits, and fine-tuning mechanisms to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repair history using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and safety of CNC machinery, including upgrades, modifications, and preventive measures.
  • Coordinate with production teams, engineering staff, and external vendors to address maintenance issues, prioritize tasks, and support production schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to operators and maintenance personnel on the proper operation, maintenance, and safety procedures for CNC equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies related to equipment maintenance, including hazardous materials handling, lockout/tagout procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Other job duties maybe assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC maintenance, preferably in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing CNC machinery, including knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and control systems.
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices, with the ability to perform routine inspections, adjustments, and repairs.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment used in CNC maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
