Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Tustin, California. This role in the telecom industry will focus on fixed asset accounting, tracking, and reporting on our company's tangible and intangible properties. The individual in this position will play a vital role in ensuring the financial operations of our company run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Track, record and reconcile ledger entries related to the company's fixed assets.

• Initiate, recommend, and implement improvements in and manage the fixed asset accounting system.

• Prepare reports regarding the status of the company's fixed assets.

• Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets to ensure accuracy of records.

• Review invoices and expense reports for fixed asset purchases to ensure accuracy and proper capitalization.

• Maintain a clean and organized fixed asset system that accurately tracks, monitors, and reports fixed asset values.

• Collaborate with the finance team to maintain and organize financial records and reports.

• Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.

• Coordinate with external auditors to carry out the annual audit of fixed assets.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax laws, and GAAP. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance

• Experience with Journal Entries

• Ability to perform Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite and Oracle

• Experience with QuickBooks and SAP

• Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
