Summary: Employees in this position coordinate transportation services to person in Arenac County.
Efficiency/Accountability:
- Practices effective self-time management and work ethics.
- Follows through on commitments.
- Maintains and submits all required documentation.
- Reports directly to Operations Manager for daily duties.
- Strives to meet requested public's request for services.
- Directly supervised by the Operations Manager.
- Dispatch does not supervise other employees.
Customer Service:
- Presents self and organization in a positive, professional manner at all times.
- Is at all times courteous to the public, colleagues, and deals with customer complaint in a consistent, timely and professional manner.
- Completes Incident Report for all complaints regarding the transit drivers' actions, driving performance, and/or behaviors to be investigated by Operations Manager / Director.
Specific Job Duties:
- Greet public entering building, instruct current Covid screening, assist as needed..
- Answers telephones for the entire building, directs calls appropriately, and takes messages as needed.
- Provides information to the public in a courteous manner.
- Schedules rides according to clients' request providing ample travel time, within road conditions, to accommodate.
- Remain positive, courteous, and respectful while determining the specific services needed.
- Accurately calculates fare fees for both passenger and driver.
- Immediately communicates changes and cancellations to driver via radio for day of service..
- Operates communication devices (radio) in a professional manner in accordance with rules and regulations. Address only- no names.
- Facilitates calls to customers when requested by drivers to communicate a delay or confirm ride.
- May assign vehicles to drivers as needed for rotation.
- Disinfecting/cleaning tasks to reduce health risks.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Operations Manager/Director.
