Hiring a Research and Development Technician (Assistant) at a well-known Food and Beverage company in Union City!

Description:

The Research and Development Technician (Assistant) will work under the direction of the Director of Research and Development and provide support in food prep and sample making, maintaining and cleaning laboratory equipment, ordering and stocking supplies, and collecting and organizing data.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make food product samples by following recipes/formulas.

• Analyze food product samples using various scientific equipment.

• Prepare and Ship food product samples via FedEx

• Maintain laboratory equipment and keep it clean and in good working order

• Order and stock laboratory supplies and ensure that they are available when needed

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

• Communicate effectively with the Research and Development team members

• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for improving lab processes

• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Research and Development

Qualifications:

• Must be able to write, speak, and type in English

• 1-2 years of experience working in a scientific laboratory or commercial kitchen preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
