JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Center for the Performing Arts seeks an experienced project coordinator to support the arts engagement team with guest & local artist projects, academically integrated coursework, and student and community engagement with the arts, including the pre-K-12 education community. Reporting to the audience & program development director of the Center for the Performing Arts, this position will act as the administrative support for the unit, including managing and analyzing collected data, maintaining communication with other units within the Center for the Performing Arts, and participating in artists engagements.

Flexible schedule although attendance and participation is required for some scheduled engagement events. Some work can and will be completed remotely by mutual agreement.

This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week.

Typical Duties:

  • Communicates with appropriate partners and units within the CPA to schedule and support artist engagements and related unit activities.

  • Coordinates documentation and evaluation of unit activities.

  • Maintains unit records including calendar and Center-wide Microsoft Office shared information.

  • Coordinates logistics of artist engagements and other unit activities.

  • Manage unit director's schedule and calendar.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years prior project coordination experience. Passion for the performing arts. Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Ability to handle multiple tasks successfully, with accuracy and attention to detail. Self-starter with excellent teamwork skills. Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in all professional communications. Demonstrated experience developing/handling logistics of community programs.
