About this Role
PAR Western Line Contractors, LLC (dba QUES) provides engineering, procurement and construction services for comprehensive infrastructure needs in the electric power, oil and natural gas industries. QUES has the knowledge and expertise to handle a full spectrum of projects. From the most straightforward, single-component installation to the most complex, multi-state projects, QUES handles the job safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
We are looking for aSenior Design Managerto lead the Division’s Design team and provide oversight and accountability on all local projects. The successful candidate will have a strong design engineering background within the electrical utility space, as well as be a proven leader.
What You'll Do
Provide leadership and accountability for the contractual obligations and client deliverables for the division's Design Team
Provide technical supervision and oversee quality of team deliverables
Ensure compliance by being abreast of codes and standards
Liase between the client and Design Team
Evaluate system operations, and provide project scope development for overhead and underground utility systems
Oversee daily administrative functions of the office
Additional duties as needed and/or assigned
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred
10+ years of relevant experience in design engineering
5+ years of leadership experience
Experience in the electrical utility space is required
Must have experience working directly with local utilities in southern California
Ability to make good business and financial judgements
Baseline knowledge of accounting, managerial, and business finance
Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
Good organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation Range
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $150,000.00/Yr. - USD $175,000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
