Process Engineers in Mondelez are vital team members within our Manufacturing Plants and Function. We are now looking for a Process Engineer to join us at Upplands Vaesby the home of Marabou in Sweden, and within our fantastic Manufacturing Plant.

As a Process Engineer in Mondelez Manufacturing, you will have the ability to become an expert in production line technologies, and chocolate making. You will use your knowledge and expertise to build the capability of our manufacturing core and support teams to ensure a high level of technical competence across the operations team.

How you will contribute

  • Plan, lead and co-ordinate development activities e.g. process design and specifications, process scale up, commissioning, trials and much more, in accordancewith GMP and HACCP requirements.

  • Drive Process reliability and stability by solving the chronic problems on the line:

  • Understand and analyse process variability root causes and define systems to eliminate them.

  • Design and define critical process parameters and centrelines; track and ensure adherence to them.

  • Give technical confirmation to any request or project proposal that affects the process or equipment.

  • Process data gathering and issues analysis:

  • Implement & maintain systems to collect, collate and analyse data on key process parameters.

  • Identify and prioritise process capability issues for performance or quality.

  • Improve process capability and quality:

  • Identify improvement opportunities and projects.

  • Take responsibility for implementation by leading and coaching the line teams.

  • Benchmark with other MLDZ sites where possible, and build a network within MLDZ with subject matter experts from other sites e.g. senior process engineers, R&D, technical engineers etc.

  • Independently connect with key suppliers for process- and design related deep dives.

What you will bring

  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in process engineering, chemistry or an equivalent discipline.

  • Proven track record of experience in process development, ideally within FMCG environment.

  • Working knowledge of World Class Manufacturing principles, including Lean 6Sigma is an advantage.

  • Good knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental principles and legislation.

  • Ability to plan and deliver multiple priorities.

  • Ability to be proactive and driven in identifying complex technical or business problems and both creating and implementing solutions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the organization, orally and in writing, including use of technical report conclusions.

  • Ability to coach and mentor others within the department.

  • A mindset to constantly champion the consumer needs within Mondelez development activities.

  • Technical curiosity and collaborative mindset.
