Resource Center for Independent Living Program Aide (PCA Certified) in Utica, New York

Description:The successful candidate will be expected to: Assist participants with personal care, meal preparation, daily living skills and socialization.Ensure participants’ care plans are being implemented on an ongoing basis.Provide monitoring and oversight to all participants. Ensure a meaningful, enriching environment and experience to participants in a Social Adult Day Program. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities Candidates must have a Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification or equivalent experience providing personal care.Knowledge of HIPAA and the Independent Living Philosophy is required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and have a clean driving record.A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
