The Senior Medical Billing Manager will oversee the billing department and ensure the efficient processing of medical claims. This includes managing the billing team, optimizing billing processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to improving billing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:

• Supervise, train, and support the billing team to ensure high performance and professional development.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Billing Operations:

• Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate medical claims to insurance companies and patients.

• Ensure timely follow-up on unpaid claims and take appropriate action to resolve billing issues.

• Monitor and analyze billing and collection activities to identify areas for improvement.

• Compliance and Regulations:

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to medical billing.

• Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and implement necessary updates to billing practices.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in billing processes.

• Financial Management:

• Prepare and present financial reports related to billing and collections to senior management.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce accounts receivable days.

• Manage the billing department’s budget and resources effectively.

• Process Improvement:

• Evaluate and improve billing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Implement and maintain billing software systems and ensure staff are properly trained.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the billing department.

• Patient Relations:

• Address patient inquiries and concerns regarding billing and insurance matters.

• Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with patients and insurance providers.

• Assist with resolving complex billing issues and disputes.

  Requirements

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Proven experience as a Billing Supervisor/Manager

• Strong leadership and team management abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
