Sonographer - Full Time - Nights - 7 On 7 Off
Department: ULTRASOUND
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Department Head, supervises and coordinates activities of the Ultrasound Department.
Core Job Responsibilities
Perform and assist with a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity to apply prescribed ultrasonography for diagnosis
Maintain performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities
Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to elderly
Maintain performance of the Ultrasound personnel.
Assist in formulating the budget
Maintain efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, federal, state and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols
Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
Graduate of approved school of Ultrasonography
ARMDS in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular
Minimum of 7- 10 years experience in Ultrasound
Current membership and active participation in an Ultrasound professional society or organization.
PREFERRED:
Previous Supervisory experience
