Oracle Project Manager in UTRECHT, Netherlands

Job Description

We are growing fast and have an immediate requirement for an additional Project Manager who has excellent customer facing skills, coupled with delivery experience using Oracle products.

Project Manager, based in the Netherlands, working area BeNeLux .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead project implementations and migrations with particular focus on the delivery of Cloud based solutions within the Oracle Technology sphere (e.g. IaaS and PaaS).

  • Primary interfaces with client regarding project status, budget, scope and issues.

  • Work with the account team to scope required effort and define timelines.

  • Works closely with client and project team to identify and assure delivery against key business requirements and milestones

  • Track and communicate project status, plans, issues, timelines, action items, and budgets.

  • Responsible for the technical and business quality of engagement work products, solutions, and deliverables.

  • Exercise scope management/control respecting the client, team, and partners. Develop contingency plans.

  • Assure process compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements.

  • Manage activities for cross functional teams and coordinate technology and implementation plans with internal and external resources (domestic/international teams) application design – manage delivery of new processes within a customer consultative relationship to ensure highest quality and client satisfaction.

  • Process design - Identify opportunities for process improvements (assess, recommend, and implement recommendations).

  • Work with (Pre-)Sales on bids for Consulting opportunities and present these to customers

  • Be open for new Oracle opportunities (within and outside the project) while delivering the contracted scope

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Oracle Technology / Application products and delivery of Cloud Based Solutions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills a must.

  • Ability to work as part of a team, yet work independently on complex problems.

  • Ability to manage project-teams both small (< 5 FTE), medium and large (> 15 FTE)

  • Logical approach to problem solving and excellent eye for detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and project deliverables.

  • Proven track record of meeting project timeliness/deliverables and attention to detail, process, deadlines and quality results.

  • Demonstrated success with customers during project assessment, planning, development, training and implementation.

  • Self motivated and keen ability to multi-task

Education and Experience Required:

  • Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Project Management Qualifications, e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, etc.

  • Willingness to travel within Benelux as this is a key requirement of the role

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably with a software professional services organization or consulting background

  • Experience in managing large consulting or services engagements

  • You will thrive in an environment where your next engagement and challenge is not prescribed to you.

  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills – as comfortable presenting as developing complex technical solutions.

  • The ability to assimilate, evaluate and solve problems in a structured way at all times.

  • Experience in working with very senior consultants and architects

  • Energetic and enthusiastic approach to technology, personal management and building customer relationships

  • Fluent in Dutch and English
