Job Summary:
Westchester Medical Center, a premier academic medical center and regional referral center, is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-level patient care to complex patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and on the inpatient Critical Care Consult Service.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to critically ill patients in the MICU.
Participate in rounds, consultations, and management of patients on the Critical Care Consult Service.
Perform and assist with ICU procedures under the supervision of attending physicians.
Utilize bedside ultrasonography to aid in clinical decision-making.
Collaborate closely with attending physicians, fellows, residents, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current NCCPA certification and New York State PA licensure (or eligibility).
Experience in critical care or a related field is a plus but not required. New graduates with a strong interest in critical care are encouraged to apply.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
