Tenneco MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in Van Wert, Ohio
Support the setup and operations throughout the plant with the appropriate department supervisors and engineers, resulting in improvements or replacement of machinery, processes, products or design standards.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Train and communicate with operators on equipment.

``` - Recommends, develops, implements, new equipment or improvements to present equipment, which will result in improved processes or quality.

``` - Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical equipment as needed.

``` - Troubleshoot complex problems and coordinate to ensure an efficient solution.

``` - Assist in the evaluation of new processes and products that will result in cost reduction or quality improvements.

``` - Informs Engineers on improvements and implements mold/assembly/die design standards that will improve processes and/or reduce product cost.

``` - Provides technical advice and instructions to production supervisors when assigned to projects in their departments.

``` - Furnishes prints and operating manuals for all equipment designed or installed.

``` - Position has the responsibility and authority for quality commensurate with the accountabilities of the job description.

``` - Performs other duties as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED with required experience.
EXPERIENCE:
3-4 years' experience in manufacturing.
SKILLS:
Ability to plan, coordinate activity. Ability to work well with plant personnel and vendors.
