Mechanical Engineer- Senior Mechanical Services (includes HVAC/Fire Protection/Dust Control/ Plumbing) Engineer and will serve as the Lead or Area Lead position for the Mechanical Services group and perform all or some of the following:

• Organize/plan jobs, prepare/maintain schedules, develop/monitor effort hour estimates and manpower forecasts.

• Attend internal and external meetings, assign work, work with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities

• Assist in audits.

• Assist, as required, in the development of department standards and procedures

• Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals

Strong Technical skills on HVAC are a must:

• Prepare conceptual HVAC systems for process buildings, electrical buildings, administration buildings

• Develop project design criteria based on applicable codes and client standards

• Prepare/check design calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings and ensure all relevant project and regulatory requirements are addressed.

• Prepare HVAC package quotation request and purchase orders, conduct technical bid evaluations and review vendor drawings.

• Interdisciplinary coordination for HVAC space reservations, structural support needs, power requirements, and tie-ins.

• Skills/Knowledge of Dust Control, Fire Protection and plumbing are an asset:

• Analyze the fire hazards and define applicable fire protection systems to satisfy regulatory requirements

• Integrate design of dry dust extraction and wet dust suppression systems in material handling process in mining plant.

• Understand code compliance to specify water-based fire suppression system and specific hazard fire suppression systems, develop applicable system specifications, design or collaborate with vendor for issue for construction documents .

• Engineering knowledge/skills on plumbing
