HP Inc. Data Product Manager in Vancouver, Washington

The Data Product Manager will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and breaking down data requirements for the Print software platform. This involves working closely with Platform Product Managers and Asset team to ensure that the platform is meeting customer needs and supporting customer-facing HP products and solutions. The Data Product Manager makes data-driven decisions and collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Architects, and Platform Product Managers, to drive platform functionality from concept to customer adoption.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for guiding the development and success of software products or features. The role is essentially the advocate for the customer and serves as the bridge between various teams, such as engineering, design, marketing, and business stakeholders. The role supports the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, providing oversight of strategy, technical, and marketing aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the entire product development cycle, from initial definition to GA, ensuring quality and schedule.

  • Understands the overall market, competitors, and open source technologies.

  • Translates market and stakeholder needs into product requirements and definitions.

  • Elicits detailed business requirements through engaging workshops and clear functional design documents.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to guide feature development and prioritization.

  • Translates user requirements into executable and workable feature items with the software engineering team.

  • Acts as an advocate for the stakeholders during specification and development stages.

  • Leads all business readiness activities, including end user training, product testing, and rollout.

  • Drives process changes based on robust analysis of operational data and user behavior.

  • Guides the team through execution by attentively monitoring milestones, tasks, and other deliverables, ensuring their completion per the defined plan.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics/Science or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 4-12 years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-7 years of work experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $102,500 -- $157,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
