The Head of Quality is a leadership role within the GE Aerospace Hungary that will provide strategic and technical leadership for Quality related functions & activities.

The Head of Quality will partner across the business to drive quality excellence and zero-defect culture.

The individual will lead a team focused on proactive problem-solving with a continuous improvement mindset and will be future Quality Leader for GE Aerospace Hungary.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, and processes.

• Support day to day quality related issues across Quality operations, Regulatory, Training, Supplier, New Product Implementation (NPI) projects, Calibration & Lab testing activities

• Handle various customers, regulatory & internal audits

• Lead and drive Root Cause Corrective Action meetings for customer complaints, rework, and shop loss events

• Work closely with shop inspectors for product safety & regulatory compliance

• Collaborate with cross functional teams for identification of process gaps and Lean improvement opportunities

• Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

• Strong Leadership & Quality experience in global manufacturing industry

• Fluency in Hungarian & English, both spoken and written

• Outstanding ability to interact and engage at all levels of the organization - from the shop floor to senior leadership

• Proven leader in driving Continuous Improvement, functioning as a change agent in an industrial environment with demonstrated results

• Aviation related experience

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to document, plan and execute projects
