Boehringer Ingelheim Compliance & Integrity Manager Adriatic (m/f/d) in Vienna, Austria

The position

We are seeking for a Compliance & Integrity Manager to join our Compliance & Integrity Team at Boehringer Ingelheim. The focus of the position will be to support the implementation of the global Compliance Program and other corporate and regional policies in the Sub-Region Adriatic. The position is based in Vienna.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Proactively drive and enable the implementation and management of the Global and Regional Compliance Program and Standards across all functions & businesses in the Sub-Region Adriatic (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Macedonia & Montenegro).

  • Manage compliance related projects, processes and initiatives with strong focus on Human Pharma compliance, Code of Conduct, business integrity, anti-corruption, trainings and awareness, risk management, monitoring, speak-up and investigation management and Animal Health Compliance (if applicable).

  • Provide guidance and advice on legal compliance standards to other functions in scope of the Global and Regional RCV Compliance Program, taking into consideration local legal requirements. Foster a culture of integrity and inherent behavioural compliance consistent with Boehringer Ingelheim organizational values.

  • Interact and collaborate regularly with the Regional Compliance & Integrity Team in the Regional Center Vienna (RCV) of Boehringer Ingelheim as well as with a network of compliance champions in the RCV Region.

  • Maintain good knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in the Sub-Region Adriatic and in the EU as well as of national and international industry codes relevant for the function.

  • Provide basic Legal support to the Sub-Region Adriatic by acting as first point of contact and involving RCV Legal or external lawyers for legal matters; maintain a network of external legal lawyers in the countries of the Sub-Region Adriatic.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree preferably in Law, Economics, B.A. or Pharmacy combined with min. 3 years’ experience in a pharma/medical device company in Legal, Compliance, or other functions requiring knowledge of pharma regulatory (e.g. Medicine, Quality, Commercial etc.).

  • Previous experience in anti-corruption and healthcare compliance management would be considered as an advantage, same applies to working experience in the Adriatic Region.

  • Willingness for regular business trips to the different Boehringer Ingelheim office locations in the Sub-Region Adriatic (Ljubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade, Sarajevo).

  • Excellent ability to analyze and understand legal and regulatory provisions and to apply them in business processes.

  • Strategic and innovative thinking, strong business orientation and team player while cultivating an empathic and inclusive mindset and “can-do” attitude, agility and emotional maturity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian is mandatory.

The remuneration for this position starts at EUR 60.000 gross annual salary (full time). When defining the actual salary we are taking your technical skills as well as personal competencies and relevant professional experience into consideration.
