Medtronic Senior Business Manager (m/w/d) Cardiac Surgery in Germany

The role is a fundamental opportunity for establishing the vision and setting the strategy for the Business Unit organization in Germany.

You will be responsible for transforming the sales and marketing organization to align the business with the European goals and objectives and establishing a high performing team that will position the business to be a bigger player in the Cardiac Surgery market. In this role you will report to the Western European Senior Director. You will orchestrate activities and work closely with Medtronic support functions in the country and lead a team of Sales Representatives, Distributors, and Marketing.

A Day in the Life

• Building a high performing and highly engaged team, recognizing the diversity across the business, in country by fostering leadership and employee involvement, enhancing teamwork and accountability.

• Providing opportunities for personal growth and advancement of reports, owning specific initiatives to achieve our goals.

• Designing and maximizing opportunities for talent development by making intentional decisions as to how to deploy and develop them. Accelerating the development of others, differentiating opportunities and purposefully creating progressive experiences.

• Promoting a trusting and progressive culture within the team and develops a broad set of collaborative relationships across the organization, connects well and empathically with other areas.

• Establishing annually, quarterly and monthly Sales and Marketing objectives in coordination with the overall company´s business plan and create, in coordination with Upper Management, and Marketing an annual business plan to meet these objectives.

• Leading the budgeting process, incl. sales forecasts, marketing investments GPO (Group Purchasing Organisation) negotiations and the P&L responsibility (Profit & Lost).

• Leading the transformation of the Cardiac Surgery organization to build a team is aligned to our global vision of being a bigger player in the market.

• Championing and owning all change initiatives by being a role model and mobilizes their teams as well as other stakeholders to commit to this strategic and cultural change to align with our vision.

Must Haves

• 13+ years professional experience in a business function (Sales, Marketing, Business / Market Development)

• 10+ years of leadership experience in healthcare, ideally with heterogenous sales and marketing teams

• MBA and / or additional Healthcare related (scientific or engineering) post-graduate degree

• Creating solutions to issues that meet the needs of the Operating Unit team in achieving sales goals and objectives

• Ability to identify in advance major changes in Germany pertaining to distribution, pricing, promotion, regulation, regionalization etc.

• Deep understanding of the German market dynamics, market insights, trends and competitive environment

• Ability to effectively manage the country Operating Unit budget to provide business growth and demonstrate fiscal responsibility

• Inspiring leadership style with strong customer focus and interpersonal skills

• Fluency in German and English

There is a Measles facility-based immunization requirement for this position. Therefore, full Measles immunization is a requirement to fill the open position.
