How is a consultant working at IBM?

As a graduate consultant, you will focus on the optimization of our clients’ business – process and business models. Work is project-based, and you will typically be serving multiple clients in assignments lasting 3-9 months. You will be working together with teams from the client’s business to understand their needs, as well as with senior IBM consultants and subject matter experts in the relevant fields and industries.

Typical tasks for a Cloud Innovation Advisory Consultant:

  • Is the “tip of the spear” offering, providing strategy and planning for CAMS services and offerings.

  • Assist clients transform application portfolios, plans for cloud adoption, and enhances IT operating models to incorporate cloud.

  • Creates tangible business value and roadmaps to help our clients achieve their objectives.

  • Supports the CAMS Cloud Innovate method is solutioned and delivered consistently.

  • Offers deep expertise and understands how to guide clients to successfully adopt cloud capabilities, leveraging differentiated tooling and methods.

What the role requires?

We are looking for entry level candidates from primary business education backgrounds who meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated history of achievement in academics, internships, course work and/or work experience, specifically concerning business- and process development with technology flair and an innovation mindset.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You excel in transforming complex information to simple messages, adapting the communication to the given audience, delivered both in person and in writing.

  • Passionate about technology and providing solutions to challenging problems. You spot solutions setting yourself in the seat of the client.
