Vontier European Business Development Director - Fueling Solutions in Multiple European Countries

The primary focus is to lead and develop the Fueling Solutions business with focus on developing GVR channel partners in EU. Building and developing a best in class ‘Distribution playbook’ with emphasis on identifying, appointing, managing and developing both new and existing distribution partnerships. As part of this responsibility the position will lead and implement an improved strategy for GVR’s channel management with an aim to achieve growth and increased efficiency for the GVR sales team, adopting channel partners in line with FPP principle and improved perceived value added by GVR as a partner. In this role the Business Development Director will work with the commercial GVR organization and actively engage with key distributors to develop relations with key stakeholders. In practical terms this means growing the “order intake” within indirect accounts using GVR channel partners.

· Lead the AMO (aftermarket spares) business, implementing a robust business plan to grow and develop GVR’s share of the AMO sector year over year.

· Lead the Commercial and Industrial sales strategy and implementation to grow and develop GVR’s share of sales in the C&I sector thru developing a robust GTM and distribution plan and executing.

· Lead and develop the ‘Wetstock’ business development team to drive adoption and growth of GVR’s fuel management solutions in both retail and commercial industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure fulfillment of commercial objectives for the Distribution / AMO / C&I / Wetstock business segments in Europe:

o Achieve sales and financial objectives, analyzing variances and leading corrective actions.

o Continuously assess results and analyze market dynamics and correspondingly proposes and implements adaptive/alternative go-to-market strategies for the fuel retail segment.

o Develop relationships by meetings with channel partners and customers, to create, maintain and develop the necessary end-customer/partner intimacy.

o Ensures that GVR meets the expected targets in terms of price and margins including holding regular reviews to ensure that expected actions are delivered in time with expected result.

· Lead commercial team assigned to business development (Distribution / C&I / AMO / Wetstock):

o To challenge and support his/her team/channel partners to improve quality and dimension of the sales funnel with the aim to; increase coverage, conversion, market share and a balanced product mix.

o Ensures recurrent reviews with channel partners to measure performances Vs the target KPIs, providing guidance and coaching.

o To grow sales level with existing channel partners and lays out action plans to establish new ones or convert from competition, to maximize coverage and conversion rate

· Drive GVR vison for channel development

o Continuously seek for efficiency gain and analyze market dynamics and correspondingly proposes and implements adaptive/alternative go-to-market strategies for the fuel retail segment.

o Continuously evaluating existing offer to ensure Product portfolio is suitable for the European Indirect Channel market demands.

o Assess and analyze market dynamics and chart the course in building out appropriate market coverage strategies for the EV and Commercial space.

· Ensuring required reporting on the behalf of his or her role and team

o Supports upper management functions with timely reporting, data analysis and risk management.

o Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly orders and revenue, in line with the corporate forecasting calendar. Provides inputs and actively contributes to the yearly budget process, Strategic Planning and monthly Policy Deployment.

o Ensure that GVR has a fully functional process for process for his/her sales team to provide regular S&OP data to Operations.

· Ensuring that our partners works and operates in line with our values and policies

o Secures the compliancy of the Channel Partners according to the corporate policy (CPTK)

o Maintains contracts and agreements with Channel Partners, driving changes where necessary

o Ensure all the activities of the Distributor team comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards.

o To ensure the establishment and maintenance of positive business relations with distributors, channel partners, major suppliers, industry associations and government representatives.

· Experience in leading an international distributed team.

· High level of business acumen to be able to discuss, interpret and value the activities of the customer and the potential impact of solutions

· Negotiation skills (to negotiate up to large business terms)

· Contracting / legal skills (to draft and negotiate contracts)

· Fuel retail, convenience retail or commercial fuel business background or experience

· Experience in sales management, account management and complex sales

· Experience in developing, implementing and leading sales strategies
