Aveda currently has an exciting opportunity for a Salon Development Partner to act as a business consultant to Aveda’s salon partners covering Bristol, Bournemouth, Exeter & Cornwall.
Key Roles and responsibilities summary:
Consumer Facing Side-by-Side Selling
Prospecting new Salons to join the Aveda Business. Build a strong prospecting pipeline by identifying, engaging and converting top salons in the area.
Develop current salons through regular quality visits with focus on strong achievement of sales, productivity goals and brand sales objectives.
Lead monthly joint business planning sessions for key accounts.
Manage salon teams in driving sales, services, and excellent customer experience.
Utilises and demonstrates solid understanding of sales, product knowledge, events, operations, retail market and salon industry to keep business and team moving forward by capturing consumer insights/sales trends/traffic patterns and using learnings to influence optimise results.
Observes and provides feedback to salons regarding performance.
Create and maintain strategic salon partnerships with full account base.
Develop good working relationships with partnered salon staff to recognize opportunities that are consistent with the company’s strategic direction.
Training/Education
Analyse and evaluate how the salon is using training knowledge to drive sales, as well as recognise and coach to opportunities for improvement.
Promote Aveda hair colour and retail to increase Aveda services in salons.
Drive Brand education: ensure staff is well-versed in brand messaging and assortment.
Deliver brand trainings to dedicated salon-wide staff on product knowledge, service experiences, selling and leadership skills.
Partner with salons to create innovative in-salon events and use learnings to maximize effectiveness of the Aveda marketing and trade calendars.
Reviewing Business Performance
Communicate sales goals and client engagement strategy.
Proactively identify inventory/stock issues that may inhibit business.
Strategic thinking & problem solving
Analyse the business and identify sales goals/targets to be set.
Proactively anticipate and rectify obstacles to goal achievement using critical problem-solving skills, target specific KPI’s relevant to the business, strategise client engagement to attract, convert, and retain salons.
Identify and convert new business to strengthen market share.
Create feedback loops to the brand: share feedback with central teams on execution, competition's products, service offering and activity; maintain in-depth knowledge of market trends, demographics and customer needs/behaviours and reactions.
Qualifications
3-4 years’ experience leading and/or managing sales preferably in the Salon and Beauty industry.
Ability to maximise volume and revenue in accounts by utilising fact-based selling method.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with salons through superior service and execution of presentations.
Secure promotions to build brand development and maximise brand performance.
Solid understanding of sales, product knowledge, events, operations, retail culture and beauty industry.
Deep understanding of the salon industry and current trends.
Ability to see problems and develop action plans to get past them.
Demonstrated results through strategic thinking.
Charismatic individual with strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Availability to work key business hours.
Must have valid driver’s license.
