We are now looking for an innovative and experienced leader to take on the role of New Build Industrial Sales Director to continue the success and growth across Europe.

The Role:

· Lead the outside sales team for the Europe/ North Africa region for the Industrial Segment (General Industries, Chemicals), and develop, execute and communicate the regional industrial sales plan to drives profitable growth.

· Identify new market opportunities, which will enhance business growth and sustainability, and advise business unit organizations and product groups of such opportunities in the respective markets. Understand any product gaps with the markets (present and future) and suggest product development initiatives.

· Drive business development, collaborating with Chart/Howden BU’s to maximise opportunities and unlock synergies, and identify technologies required to exploit these market opportunities.

· Gather intelligence on the competitors to enable any threats or disruptive actions to be counter-measured proactively.

· Lead, coach and develop the sales team, driving high performance aligned to the Industrial regional strategies. Drive a culture of team-working, building knowledge sharing and develop individual’s capabilities to grow within the business.

· Develop key account management with Strategic customers and Key Customers in order to maximize spend of Chart/Howden combined products and drive first class customer service from initial interest through to contract completion.

· Manage the overhead within the budget set, and support business cases for any CAPEX or expansion through normal approval processes.

· Responsible to provide accurate account plans and reports to monitor performance measurements and targets established for the activity. · Increase Sales Team product knowledge through educational offerings, marketing materials, communications and technology so that the focus is on selling solutions embedding Chart global product portfolio.

· Work closely with Marketing and Business Development team to create and distribute required marketing materials to better position Chart for the Industrial applications in EMENA. Skills, knowledge & behaviours Essential skills, knowledge & behaviours · bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related area or experience commensurate with a degree.

Key Skills and Experience:

· 10+ years of relevant sector background including sales & marketing. · An intimate understanding of the related market and customer base · Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal customers. · Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and drive high performance in a sales teams

· High moral and ethical standards; integrity is continuously apparent. · Experience in managing distribution and sales channels · Strong selling and customer/market development skills · Strong negotiation and customer issue resolution skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills – active listener, clear and concise communicator (both oral and written); proven collaboration skills.

· Strong presentation skills; ability with the C-suite.

· Able to work independently managing time, schedules and customer interface.

· Able to manage constantly changing priorities and requirements.

· Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions

· Agile in a matrix organisation environment, managing people with no direct reporting lines.

· Strategic and lateral thinker

· Corporate governance knowledge

· High level knowledge of the Chart portfolio of products or similar

· Experience selling highly engineered equipment and products, as well as services, through an extended matrix.
