Main Purpose of Role:

The role is working at Client Management Services Asia (CMA) of MUFG Securities (MUS) based in Hong Kong. To assist Head of CMA working on Business As Usual (BAU), Change-The-Bank (CTB), projects, client data, and Permanent Control Framework matters.

  • To act as the point of contact for client lifecycle matters [On-boarding, Periodic Review, Ad-hoc Review, Off-boarding] between the client, business, internal functions and Client Management Services (CMS).

  • To conduct client due diligence including AML/KYC due diligence on clients in accordance to MUS’s procedures on Prevention of Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism.

Principal Duties:

  • To ensure client and business needs in relation to client lifecycle matters are known, and understood by related internal functions and CMS.

  • To work closely with business to understand the urgency of onboarding requests, and identify onboarding specification.

  • To advise business/ support units in relation to client lifecycle matters as required.

  • To maintain and contribute to pipeline management and cases prioritization, plus updating related case status tracker.

  • To conduct client due diligence including AML/KYC due diligence on assigned cases, in accordance to MUS’s procedures on Prevention of Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism.

  • To contribute towards good quality client data .

  • To contribute towards the Permanent Control framework.

  • To contribute towards strategic directive and standardization process as led by Client Management Services (CMS) and GKYC.

  • Any other assignments or projects.

Generic Responsibilities:

  • Comply with, and ensure all staff in the Department/on the Desk comply with, the Company’s policies and procedures as well as all rules and laws emanating from the Company’s direct Regulator or any other regulatory authority relevant to the business being conducted including, but not limited to, the MAS, the HK SFC, SEHK Regulations and FCA.

What is required for the candidate?

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in any of the following areas preferred: Client Onboarding, KYC/AML, new account onboarding, renewal, KYC Advisory, Compliance, Financial Markets Regulator [candidate with less years of experience but with strong potential can be considered as Associate].

  • Prior sub team leading/ management experience and coaching junior members experience preferred

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills (face-to-face, written, verbal) and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and to work collaboratively across functions and regions.

  • Highly motivated to enhance client experiences.

  • Self-motivated and attentive to details.

  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrates effective organization and time management skills.

  • Fluent in English, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin).

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
