Client Reputation is an Akamai Web Security product that generates client intelligence based on the terabytes of traffic flowing through the Akamai platform hourly.

Help shape the future of internet security

You will be the focal point of data science for the Client Reputation product, working as part of the research team. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of ML models in the product, adding innovation and advanced models, and using DS tools to provide insights and analysis of web security attacks.

As a Senior data scientist , you will be responsible for:

• Developing working prototypes of statistical/machine learning-based algorithms, evaluating and comparing metrics based on real-world data sets.

• Working closely with security researchers to combine subject matter expertise into the modelsGuide engineering implementations of ML systems.

• Integrating security research learnings into the product.

• Providing DS expertise to the wider Akamai web security research group.

• Innovating in the fields of web security research and data science.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 4 years of experience in data science with a STEM degree or at least 2 years of experience with an advanced STEM degree.

• Have knowledge in Python data science (pandas, pyspark, etc) and machine learning packages (sparkML, sklearn, PyTorch, etc).

• Have experience in working with cloud notebook environments.

• Have a passion for data analysis and web security.

• Have Excellent communication skills in English.

• Have a continuous learning mindset.

• Have creativity, innovation, and self-motivation.
