IHG Accounts Coordinator in Malta

InterContinental Malta is looking to recruit Accounts Coordinator , if you are well-organised and able to handle multiple tasks, look no further as this is the opportunity for you.

The Accounts Coordinator is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, handling invoicing, reconciling bank statements, and providing administrative support to the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.

  • Verify and reconcile discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.

  • Prepare and distribute checks and electronic payments.

  • Maintain accurate records of all payables and update vendor accounts.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Generate and send out invoices to clients.

  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.

  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any billing issues.

  • Record payments and prepare bank deposits.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

  • Ensure all bank transactions are recorded and matched with internal records.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the finance department.

  • Maintain organized and updated financial filing systems.

  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.

Experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies.

Problem-Solving: Capable of resolving billing and payment issues effectively.

Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding financial information.

Work Environment:

  • Office Setting: Primarily works in an office environment with standard office hours.

  • Collaboration: Works closely with finance team, vendors, and clients.

Opportunities for advancement to positions such as Senior Accounts Coordinator, Financial Analyst, or Accounting Manager.
