SunPower Financial Planning Analyst in Philippines

SUMMARY OF ROLE

SunPower is in search of Financial Analyst who will collaborate with PH and US FP&A team. This role will be responsible for supporting the FP&A team in analyses, budgeting and forecasting in providing the documents for analysis trends and assists in performing the variance analysis. Candidate is responsible but not limited to headcount reconciliation, month end accruals and re-classification adjustments. The Financial Analyst will focus on completeness, accuracy and timeliness of underlying financial data for general ledger accounts handled and ensuring proper documentation and calculations in compliance to SOX. Candidate is also expected to participate on process improvement and report enhancement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be able to monitor, reconcile and collaborate with internal team the weekly headcount report and headcount changes or movement.

  • Responsible for ensuring that headcount changes are 100% reviewed and approved by respective budget owners.

  • Responsible for managing the necessary headcount movement in GRID and Anaplan.

  • Responsible for Anaplan headcount error clean up.

  • Responsible for Purchase and Requisition review and approval.

  • Ensuring all PR routed for review and approval are within the budget, PR account string are charged to proper account, channel and department.

  • Prepare the daily warranty return and replacement monitoring status report.

  • Responsible for reviewing the Weekly Business Report (WBR) for concessions and customer care costs, give feedback to 3rd party support for any discrepancy.

  • Responsible for weekly publication of Account Analysis report for Warranty/Operations & Maintenance COGS tagging.

  • Maintain a weekly cash forecasting report.

  • Support for weekly preparation of supplier invoice reconciliation and accounts payable aging report for warranty accounts

  • Support for weekly Warranty aging report and analysis.

  • Responsible for monthly maintenance of 3rd party invoice monitoring for customer care 3rd party support.

  • Responsible for monthly preparation of Open Purchase Order and Requisition report and accruals.

  • Responsible for monthly confirmation of invoice accruals published by accounting team.

  • Responsible for monthly generation of Account Analysis report for OpEx and CoGs accounts which are essentials for variance analysis.

  • Responsible for preparation of SOX documentation.

  • Responsible for Account Analysis Supplier and line-item budget tagging.

  • Other tasks to be assigned from time to time.

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Accounting or Finance

  • More than 1 yr exposure in Forecasting and Financial Analysis

  • Experience in various accounting areas like Accounts Receivable, GL, Fixed Asset, Treasury and Payroll

  • Analytical and keen to details

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel spreadsheet, Power Point, MS Word)

  • Experienced in Financial Modelling and Financial Planning Tools (Anaplan, Hyperion)

  • Adept in business tools like Hyperion and Oracle

  • Good understanding of US GAAP & IFRS accounting and reporting, SOX Compliance & Controls

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication

  • Team-oriented and win-win attitude

  • This is an FTE position

  • Candidate must be willing to work in Binan Laguna

  • Candidate must be legally entitled to work and reside in the Philippines

  • Candidate must be willing to render overtime as business requires (weekends, US/PH holidays)

  • Candidate must be flexible to work on a night shift schedule supporting North America region

  • Tool of Trade: Laptop/Desktop, Extended Monitor, Headset (as needed)
