SUMMARY OF ROLE

SunPower is seeking a Senior Accountant , SunStrong Accounting. This position reports to the SunStrong Accounting Manager under the RLC Accounting Department and is responsible for the accounting processes catered by shared services in the Philippines for the Residential Lease Program providing full accounting support for Asset Management. SunStrong Accounting and has primary ownership of providing critical finance services such as accounting support for the BU sales operations, sales and marketing programs, month-end reporting, and PBC-related activities. The role includes interfacing with the business units’ functional team members in rolling out programs and projects and serves as the link between the BU and Asset Management Operation Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordination and performance of period-end close procedures for SunStrong Accounting.

  • Ensures strong accounting processes for SunStrong Accounting and entities

  • Perform month-end review requirements and timely completion of account reconciliations, journal entries, calculations, etc.

  • Prepare and support various account flux analyses needed for quarterly Board of Directors meetings.

  • Assist and participate in Year-end PBC audit including review and validation of audit requirements.

  • Coordination with IT and InfoLease Tech Support changes required in the system which includes change request documentation and coordination of an evaluation of user acceptance testing.

  • Perform data cleanup activities as applicable.

  • Provide analytical support for business decisions and participate/lead special projects and process improvement initiatives for the group.

  • Other finance and audit duties as assigned.

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy, preferably a CPA

  • With 1-3 years of working experience in Lease Accounting and other related accounting activities

  • Knowledge of SFDC, InfoLease System, MSD processes and documentation

  • Able to handle multiple projects with the ability to budget time productively.

  • Strong Excel skills, especially graphing, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and converting non-Excel data to Excel.

  • Can work well at different levels of the organization.

  • Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Analytical and keen on details

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills required.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication

  • Team-oriented and win-win attitude

  • This is an FTE position.

  • Candidate must be willing to work in Binan Laguna

  • Candidate must be legally entitled to work and reside in the Philippines.

  • Candidate must be willing to render overtime as business requires (weekends, US/PH holidays)

  • Candidate must be flexible to work on a night shift schedule supporting North America region.

  • Candidate must be willing to work on rotating schedules and days off.

  • Candidates will be on flexible work arrangement (combination of onsite and remote work) (if applicable depending on the nature of the job).

  • Tool of Trade: Laptop/Desktop, Extended Monitor, Headset (as needed)
