About the role

The Country General Manager, Saudi Arabia provides leadership to the country organization and develops BD’s business for sustainable and profitable revenue growth. In this role you will develop business opportunities and ensure the effectiveness and alignment of the Go-To-Market organization to the healthcare systems, markets, sales channels and customers across BD businesses.

The role represents the critical linkage point between BD's global capabilities, businesses and functions and the needs of the country.

As such, the person in this position is the BD leader most responsible for exemplifying the company values and culture while achieving the company's purpose of “Advancing the world of health”.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for leading the Saudi Arabia P/L and for achieving relevant financial objectives

• Leading business activities for achievement of short and long term business objectives, driving sustainable growth and profitability.

• Ensuring BD is a good corporate citizen in the country, creating shared value through engagement and alignment around key health and social needs that BD can help to advance.

• Building extensive network of external stakeholders. Establishing multilevel relationships with national/regional authorities, top customers, professional medical associations, non-profit/NGO, industry and patients.

• Crafting a clear path to gain competitive advantage. Partnering with regional / worldwide businesses to build a 3 – 5 year integrated country strategic plan, including market development objectives, customer centricity / commercial excellence and GTM plan and strategies.

• Leading the country’s talent agenda by building the capabilities to deliver on the 3-5 year company and country strategy.

About you

We seek an experienced Country General Manager within the Medical Technology industry. You will have strong experience working within a matrix structure, and have worked within an international, large corporation.

You will also have:

• Demonstrated P&L management within a commensurately complex and matrixed, multinational healthcare environment, with a superior track record of building high performance teams that meet/exceed targets.

• Experience leading through diverse business situations (ie. Integrations, divestitures)

• Experience in leading enterprise wide change initiatives

Knowledge and Skills:

• Consistently achieving results and market growth, even under challenging conditions (regulatory changes, market disrupters, etc.)

• Building and shaping culture focused on inclusion and diversity based on experience in the intricacies of leading cultural transformational in a multinational organization

• An authentic and values driven servant leader, demonstrating vision, inspiration, judgement and clarity

• Available to travel up to 30% of the time; role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
