Your opportunity

  • Provide assistance and support to Equity Traders

  • Execute trades on behalf of Portfolio Managers, adhering to Best Execution principles

  • Integrate and serve as a liaison with multiple departments; such as Portfolio Managers, Cashflow team, Application Support, Data Management, Operations, Compliance and IT. Collaborate with these various teams when onboarding new clients, sensitive account procedures or large cash flow notifications

  • Develop a sound understanding and knowledge of market structure, high touch and algorithmic trading to execute orders

  • Assist with the distribution of syndicate and block activity emails and indication of Portfolio Manager’s interest

  • Assist with the preparation of multiple reports throughout the company, such as Board Reports, request for proposals on new and existing clients, commissions and transaction cost analysis

  • Assist and work closely with OMS, EMS and TCA vendors on new features, enhancements or upgrades. Help test, troubleshoot and provide insight on new workflow opportunities

  • Identify areas of operational improvement within the trading function.

    Must have skills

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a trading or trade support capacity

  • Experience and proficient knowledge with Tableau, Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; Finance, Economics or Accounting major preferred

  • Basic understanding and genuine interest in the securities, investment management industry and financial markets

  • Ability to establish and cultivate relationships across the firm with extensive internal and external business partners

  • Ability to embrace data and reporting applications

  • Operate with a very strong global team focus

  • Effective analytical skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information

  • Strong work ethic, good judgement, with an attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proven track record of professional integrity

  • Self-starter; ability to work with little supervision while providing support to global trading desks

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Nice to have skills

  • Knowledge of, and or proficiency in TCA analysis and Data visualization

  • Understanding of, or explicit training in the use of programming languages

  • Knowledge of, and or proficiency in Market Microstructure analysis of regional equity markets

  • Listed and OTC derivative trading experience
