Google Trust and Safety Engagement Lead in Singapore

Google will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience in a customer-facing analytical role in cyber-security, Trust and Safety, Policy, business strategy, or related roles (e.g., Network Forensics Analyst, Threat Intelligence Analyst).

  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

  • Experience with project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience using data management tools.

  • Experience managing strategic programs that span organizations and have a direct business impact.

  • Ability to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia, Hindi, Korean, or Chinese to engage with stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills, with an interest in innovation and technology.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and present to key opinion formers, journalists, and executives internally and externally.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

  • Identify online safety engagements in order to build long-term trust and advocacy with experts to build trust and influence regulatory negotiations.

  • Lead and systematize internal risk-insights sharing by integrating into internal data management tools by transposing regulatory, risk and partner insights from external engagements.

  • Lead external engagement efforts for content safety issues, (e.g., misinformation, disinformation, content moderation, information quality and ads safety).

  • Lead data management efforts to development and maintenance of online safety experts and key opinion former databases.

  • Lead projects and cross-functional initiatives within Google, interacting with senior stakeholders from GAPP, legal, marketing and communications, and more.
