How You Will Make a Difference:

The Clinical Education Account Manager (CEM) supports HuFriedyGroup’s academic institutions business by delivering cutting edge research and education to thought leaders and clinicians within dental schools as well as dental hygiene and assisting programs. The CEM will drive revenue and margin growth within an assigned multi-state territory/geographic region of the Academic & Education Sales team. This is accomplished by meeting yearly sales goals, driving growth in market share from competitors, and assuring all customer experiences are positive, noteworthy and exceeding expectations. The CEM is also directly responsible for providing education programs and developing brand awareness and loyalty.

This is a remote based Customer facing position. To support and service our customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following state/cities: Chicago, IL metropolitan area or Indianapolis, IN (Candidate must be able to travel 60-70% throughout territory and have reliable transportation to be considered).

What You Will Do:

  1. Sells dental instrumentation and infection prevention & control products and services to academic and institution accounts including conscious sedation, dental unit waterlines, instrument management systems (IMS), and sterilization solutions. Ensure product offerings meet program requirements associated with efficient workflows while promoting best in patient outcomes.

    1. Drives revenue and margin growth by developing strong business relationships with key personnel at academic institutions. This includes understanding customers’ clinical/technical needs, presenting the value of HuFriedyGroup and negotiating to favorable agreements which may include any or all of the following: dental/hygiene/dental assisting schools, hospitals, and public health institutions.

    2. Evaluates account performance against established objectives and identifies and implements strategies and action plans to ensure achievement of targets. Consistently analyzes data to improve and develop designated territory. Collaborates with partners in Customer meetings that demonstrate the value of HuFriedyGroup to drive outcomes that increase sales and profits.

      1. Educates Customers on the various technical and commercial value propositions of HuFriedyGroup products and services to ensure the proper understanding and acceptance of our value-added contributions. As needed, collaborate with Regional Account Manager, Dental colleagues to transition graduates into clinical practice.
    3. Assess the need for and plan, implement, evaluate, and deliver education and training programs for a variety of clinical and support staff, including but not limited to hands on equipment presentations.

    4. Utilizes understanding of Customer needs to recommend new products and services to improve efficiency, reliability and Customer value to drive sustained growth potential, and apply industry innovations.

    5. Design, schedule, implement and monitor promotional programs with qualified Customers to enhance growth opportunities within assigned region. Counsel academic & school leaders, deans, and/or purchasing agents on promotional opportunities, special programs, new product introductions, and related sales information.

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  1. Active Dental Hygienist License (RDH) is required

    1. 10 years of clinical dental experience required

    2. 3+ years of Sales experience selling technical products and/or compliance services.

    3. 5+ years of patient education experience.

    4. Demonstrated experience achieving sales targets; recognized and awarded for results.

    5. Highly effective communication and presentation skills

    6. Cross functional leadership skills as demonstrated through prior experience.

    7. Analytical and data driven decision making, utilizing Excel and CRM tools for organization

    8. Proven ability to influence people and to evaluate and make decisions in stressful situations.

    9. Proven ability to succeed in autonomous environment

    10. Willingness and ability to adapt to changing environments, duties, and responsibilities.

    11. 15+ years of work experience within the dental industry in conjunction with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene is acceptable in lieu of a 4 year degree Bachelor Degree.

Pay range for this opportunity is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00. This position is eligible for commission.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Employees are covered by an employee assistance program (also available to household members) and long-term disability. Full-Time Employees are also eligible for short-term disability. Full-time Employees will also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service and paid Holidays. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week. Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
