Job Description:
B.E.A.T. LLC is seeking an Application Developer (Java) to join our team. The developer will support the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System-Industrial Hygiene (DOEHRS-IH) system. DOEHRS-IH is a web-based application that supports the Defense Health Agency (DHA). US Citizenship required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on development work using Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Coordinate between multiple disciplines (Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, other Developers, and Customers) to design, develop, implement and support complex business solutions
Work closely with stakeholders to design and document solutions that align with the business needs and consistent with the architectural vision
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in application program development
Minimum of 3 years hands on development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java
Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts and ability to develop detailed application designs using proven industry patterns and best practices
Minimum 3 years of experience with unit testing, continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, best practices and tools such as SVN, Ant/Maven, HP ALM, Fortify, and/or JaCoco
Thorough understanding and experience using relational databases preferably Oracle and/or SQL
Requires understanding and usage of J2EE technologies like JSP, Servlets, EJBs, and/or JPA
Experience working with cross-functional project teams using agile or scrum methodology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present confidently before a large audience
