A Brief Overview

This position is through affiliate Firstbank Insurance, LLC. The area or business that the candidate will represent is the Credit Insurance Department. This department focuses on Insurance within Personal Loans and Credit Cards. The Business Development Coordinator will support the branch business at Money Express, FirstBank Puerto Rico. The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for promoting and developing strategies to achieve compliance and sales results for the regions or assigned tasks in San Juan Puerto Rico.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

· Coordinate compliance issues.

· Coordinates the department’s scheduled tasks.

· Responsible for updating department procedures.

· Report (monthly) benchmarks of Credit Insurance product.

· Coordinate meetings with internal clients to promote Credit Insurance product.

· Contact internal prospect clients through visits and emails.

· Present our products to potential internal clients.

· Provide guidance and develop our internal clients so that they identify the needs of the external client, suggesting appropriate products/services.

· Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.

· Build long-term trusting relationships with internal and external clients.

· Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.

· Responsible for arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials.

· Contribute to the development of marketing plans and strategies.

· Attend sales meetings regularly to understand the products and services being marketed.

· Analyze and develop Eloan reports.

· Report to the Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales progress / results.

· Participate in other special tasks or projects as assigned by Management.

· The degree of judgment is related to the integration and coordination of varied elements and its application to specified objects as well as identification and definition of new problems of moderate complexity.

· This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

· The impact of errors of this position could greatly affect departmental activities as well as other department’s activities or external service.

· The employee in this position work in an office environment with comfortable room temperature, good lighting, and quiet conditions. You are exposed to external elements when visiting internal or external clients. Must be available to travel within Puerto Rico and outside of Puerto Rico. Be able to work extended hours when necessary.

Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field is required for this position.

· The incumbent must have one (1) to two (2) years of experience in Marketing, product sales and/or customer service.

· Strong analytical, innovations, excel, time management skills and sales techniques.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

· Ability to make attractive and assertive presentations.

· Available to work extended hours and some Saturdays, only when necessary.

· Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly.

· Valid driver's license required.

· Life Insurance License required or available.

· Customer service: manages customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve the quality of service; and responds to requests for service and assistance.

· Team Work: balances team and individual responsibilities and contributes to building a positive team spirit.

· Computer proficient: Word, Power Point, and strong in Excel (formulas & graphs)

· Verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and capable of working is stressful situations.

· Ability to prepare marketing presentations.

· Time management skills.
