Reporting to Risk Management Manager, this position manages the claim process for employees Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Claims. This position requires the application of working knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law, administrative rules, medical and legal terminology, general human resources knowledge and Company essential job functions. Must enjoy working with people, be detail-oriented, and able to adapt to a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
What would you do in this role?
Duties/Responsibilities:
Data entry of all new Claims
Track multiple claims simultaneously with accuracy
Complete wage statements, and wage statement calculations
Input letters
Maintenance and current on diaries
Filing and serving appropriate documents
Completion of investigation and copy service request forms
Input initial basic notes relating to the claim
Communication to the injured employees
Communication to Defense Counsel, Adjusters, and Nurse Case Managers
WorkDay change work status from active to WC Leave/ FLMA, and return back to active status
Communicate with injured employees that their projected ended
Enter in Sick/ Vacation time per request while on WC Leave
General Liability, Auto, Workers Compensation, and Property Claims
Return to Work program
Other duties as assign
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confidentiality- maintain confidential information unless permissions to share granted
Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize daily tasks
Planning / Organization: priorities and plans work activities of self and others and uses time efficiently
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or related software
Valid driver’s license
Automobile liability insurance
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
1-2 years of claims experience
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
