What we're looking for:

You are a focused, motivated and detail-oriented Director, Strategic Business Development. You have a preferred minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience

Position summary:

You will lead the execution of partnerships working closely with Product, Legal, Sales, Operations, and other teams across Citrix. You will also develop presentations, business cases, and other relevant materials used in Business Alignment process. Additionally, you will negotiate and structure key terms of partnership agreements along with driving overall program management. You will be expected to conduct make-versus-buy analysis from a partnership/merger/acquisition perspective, and will also be expected to lead workstreams as part of larger strategic initiatives including M&A, investments, or integration.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Sr. Director, Strategic Business Development

  • Manage department or units led by other people managers

  • Responsible for execution of strategy and operations within department

  • Responsible for making moderate or significant innovation within department

  • Recommends operational plans and strategies that will directly impact the achievement of overall functional results.

  • Directs the execution of strategies established by functional leadership. Establishes operational plans for job area with short- to mid-term impact on results (e.g., 1-2 years).

  • Work requires a high degree of responsibility for resources, and frequently influences business decisions made by functional leadership.

  • Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of job area.

  • Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.

  • Problems are difficult and moderately complex.

  • Problems typically impact multiple departments or specialties.

  • Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, which may include customers or vendors.

  • Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead multiple job areas.

  • Has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.

  • Significant negotiation and deal structuring experience required along with understanding of legal contracts.

  • Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or other Master’s Degree preferred; Minimum 10 years prior relevant experience in similar functional role
