Reports to: MH Employment Program Manager
Location: 1603 Court Street, Syracuse, NY 13208
Full Time: Monday – Friday, 8:30a-4:30p
$18.22/hour

Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive employee to place, train, stabilize, and rehabilitate people with disabilities in competitive supportive employment.
Responsibilities include:
Evaluate participant’s employment interests, skills, and potential
Maintain current knowledge regarding benefits and entitlements in order to counsel participants regarding the impact of employment on their other resources
Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, human resource groups, and employment networks
Identify the employer’s and the employee’s needs job sites
Relate activities to goals identified in participant’s Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) or Habilitation Plan
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree in any field plus 2 years’ experience working with people with disabilities to secure competitive employment OR high school diploma/GED plus 4 years’ experience working with people with disabilities to secure competitive employment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic word processing and email skills, required.
Conditions of Employment
Must possess a valid driver’s license and transportation necessary to meet program needs. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
