What we're looking for:

You will help define the next generation experience for Citrix Workspace app on desktop platforms and modernize tech stack. Position OverviewThe Engineering Manager is responsible to lead a critical Linux development team in Bangalore focused on building exciting new solutions for our Linux users .This team will be driving key strategic initiatives while collaborating closely with our Linux development teams globally.

Role Responsibilities

  • Craft a meaningful vision for the team, working with cross functional stakeholders

  • Manage prioritization, trade-offs and set appropriate expectations for delivery

  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic and technical goals

  • Oversee daily activities of team and provide direction and guidance as needed

  • Develop, coach, mentor individuals and teams and ensure high performance in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Overall 10-12 year’s experience in the IT industry.

  • BS (or higher, e.g., MS) in Computer Science or equivalent

  • Comfortable with coding, design, code reviews and passion for implementing modern engineering practices.

  • Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals e.g OS, networking, data structures etc.

  • Cloud skills on Azure, AWS and building enterprise apps on the cloud platform

  • Proven experience setting measurable goals and metrics to drive success for teams

  • Demonstrate customer empathy, sense of urgency and proactive approach towards problem solving.

  • Demonstrated ability to hire, nurture developers and coach high performing teams

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience in managing technical teams

  • Hands-on experience in building complex Linux applications is a plus.

  • Knowledge of object oriented programming development in C#/.NET /C++ is a plus.
