The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is in the midst of a wholescale transformation effort aimed at delivering a force that is ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. DAF is transforming elements of all phases of its human resource management (HRM) life cycle to meet their people demands.

ManTech will ensure that the DAF’s business processes and supporting information technology platforms fully empower DAF personnel and Guardians to maximize their abilities. Your work on the DTD team will help transform data and enterprise architectures, consolidate and modernize platforms, and integrate AI into human capital business processes.

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Erwin Data Modeling Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Data Modeling: Design and create logical and physical data models using Erwin

• Analyze existing data models and recommend improvements

• Develop and maintain data dictionaries and data models

• Star Schema Design: Implement star schema designs for our data warehouse

• Understand the characteristics of a star schema, including fact tables and dimension tables

• Optimize star schema structures for efficient querying and reporting

• Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts to understand data requirements

• Collaborate with data engineers to implement data models in our database systems

• Participate in cross-functional teams to align data modeling efforts with business goals

• Documentation: Document data models, including relationships, attributes, and constraints

• Maintain clear and concise documentation for future reference

• Best Practices: Stay updated on industry best practices related to data modeling and star schema design

• Ensure compliance with data governance standards

• Creates quality deliverables for customers

• Drives full life cycle of services/solution delivery for project(s)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business

• Must have 8+ years of experience in Data Modeling

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Erwin Data Modeler

• Proficiency in designing star schemas for data warehouses

• Strong SQL skills for querying and performance tuning

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizenship and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time with occasional travel.

The projected compensation range for this position is $111,400-$185,700. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
