What we're looking for:
You are a natural people person with excellent communications skills and thrive in meeting face to face with clients and presenting them with solutions that make their business run better. You have 5+ years of field sales experience within a high tech environment, ideally software sales, with a demonstrated record of success in driving customer adoption of technology solutions.
We are seeking a sales professional experienced in a technical sales environment who will share that expertise with our team. You have an uncanny understanding of your customer, can overcome client objections, assist with return on investment and you know how to close. You love building professional relationships using a variety of sales channels. We'll see you empower, train, and conduct seminars to drive attention within partners to increase revenues.
As a Field Sales Manager, you will establish relationships and engage with businesses to find opportunities and sell Citrix products and services. In this role, you would increase Citrix penetration within the territory by using a leveraged model (e.g., sales engineer, networking manager, networking engineer, inside sales, channel) to build opportunities. This Field Sales Manager is mapped to our mid-market (1000-5000 employee) customer base. You will have some customers who already own Citrix products and some who do not. You'll use channel partners, along with various Citrix sales teams for lead generation and closing deals.
You are the quarterback of the team - you are developing and running a territory, advising your engineering and networking teams to meet or exceed assigned revenue targets. You'll drive sales of the entire Citrix portfolio in the territory.
You’ll be carrying out all aspects of the sale including:
Creating proposals tied to business value and our customer’s strategic goals
Understanding the Citrix products/packaging at a very detailed level (we will train you) so you can improve the value for both our customers and for Citrix.
Managing and accurately forecasting opportunities in salesforce using a best case, likely, and commit.
Crafting quotes for customers based on the products in proposals, and handling the quote through the approvals process.
Leading both an indirect customer procurement (channel) and direct customer engagement model
Improving network partners and alliances, as the fulfillment channel while working with Citrix end-user accounts
Provide weekly forecasts against revenue targets
You possess a solid understanding of sales techniques and processes
Knowledge of Citrix products is a plus
Knowledge of complementary hardware and software solutions
An ability to understand customer needs is key, overcoming objections, value analysis, and closing the sale
You own a consistent record of exceeding sales goals/quotas
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years territory sales experience preferably in high tech, indirect and direct sales, or procurement environment with a record of driving customer adoption of technology
Ability to travel within assigned territory and other locations including Corporate HQ
