  • Must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time, constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., occasionally lifts and/or moves light weight objects, travels from building to building.

    Financial Analyst I - under general supervision, prepares projections, analyzes variances, reports findings, prepare reports, and financial presentations. This position reports directly to the Director – Finance for Facilities and Energy Services.

-Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of related experience in accounting, finance and/or analytical services.

-Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Analytical and organizational skills.

-Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business related field; CMA or CPA.

  • Higher Education experience, and familiarity with Canopy, AggieBuy, Concur, AiM

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

-Essential Duties/Tasks:

  • Prepares projections, analyzes variances, and reports findings.

  • Prepare reports and financial presentations for various constituents.

  • Analyzes financial statements and prepares management reports for various constituents.

  • Researches and analyzes data in support of strategic goals.

  • Reviews service rate studies and determines if rates are reasonable and in compliance.

  • Researches budgeting, accounting, and departmental issues; analyzes data.

  • Maintains Business Object templates and reports.

    Financial Analyst II - under direction, develops financial models, develops and maintains statistical models, prepares projections, analyzes variances and reports findings, and prepare reports and financial presentations. This position reports directly to the Director – Finance for Facilities and Energy Services.

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Three years of related experience in accounting, finance and/or analytical services.

-Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work with large data sets.

-Essential Duties/Tasks:

  • Develops financial models to support strategic and programmatic goals.

  • Develops and maintains statistical models to perform revenue and expense forecasting.

  • Prepares projections, analyzes variances, and reports findings.

  • Prepare reports and financial presentations for various constituents.

  • Researches and analyzes data in support of strategic goals

  • Analyzes financial statements and prepares management reports for various constituents.

  • Reviews service rate studies and determines if rates are reasonable and in compliance.

  • Researches budgeting, accounting, and departmental issues; analyzes data.

  • Maintains Business Object templates and reports.

    Financial Analyst III - under direction, assists in the management and deployment of the university budget. Coordinates legislative analysis, budget preparation, and the forecast of capital assets and operating costs. Develops financial and statistical models, serves as consultant to campus departments, and provides analysis and reports. Provides budget training. This position reports directly to the Director – Finance for Facilities and Energy Services.

-Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Five years of related experience in accounting, finance and/or analytical services.

-Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work with large data sets.

-Essential Duties/Tasks:

  • Assists in the management and deployment of the university budget.

  • Coordinates legislative analysis, budget preparation, and the forecast of capital assets and operating costs.

  • Participates in the bi-annual development of the legislative appropriations request.

  • Develops financial models to support strategic and programmatic goals.

  • Develops and maintains statistical models to perform revenue and expense forecasting.

  • Develops major presentations for communicating budget and other financial information to various audiences.

  • Serves as an internal consultant to campus departments.

  • Responds to requests from various state governmental offices and agencies.

  • Analyzes financial statements and prepares management reports.

  • Provides budget training to university employees.

  • Creates automated reports to enhance efficiencies and automates workflows.

  • Enhances data management, reporting, and data integrity in the Systems data warehouse.
