Job Purpose: The OCONUS Flight Operations Manager (OFOM) is the Dynamic Aviation OCONUS Lead, providing support and direction to Dynamic personnel on site while communicating with and coordinating flight operations with our customers.
Duties:
Provide on-site leadership to all Dynamic Aviation team members including flight, maintenance and project-specific personnel
Provide formal on-site communication focal point for government customers on aircraft flight and maintenance matters
Coordinate with site leadership teamand government customerto schedule flight and maintenance events
Provide leadership for any site inspections, includingGFR, HAZMAT, and others as required
Ensure flight operations comply with all government, local and Dynamic Aviation policies and procedures, and are conducted safely and professionally
Fly 50-80% of normal Pilot role for orientation of crew and continued familiarization with operations
Provide oversight for Assistant OCONUS Flight Operations Manager (AOFOM) team to complete all required paperwork and dispatch items
Support company values through modeling, training, and counseling as necessary
Work with CONUS team to review and maintain crewmember and non-crewmember training records, and submit them to the GFR for approval
Periodically review records to verify all on-site flight crew remain current
Ensure that monthly and periodic ongoing training requirements as per DCMA & GFOPS are met and documented, with a report provided to the Prime Contractor Site Lead and the Dynamic Aviation CONUS Management Team
Ensure that all Dynamic Aviation-required Situation Reports, Flight Logs and other daily, weekly, monthly or periodic reports are accurate and submitted on time
Assist CONUS Operations Manager in making changes to the deployment schedule and communicating with on-and-off rotation personnel of program changes
Complete employee performance reviewsat the end of each employee deployment.
Provide feedback on site operationsto CONUS management.
Complete site specific or program specific tasks as needed to support Dynamic Aviation personnel and customers.
Skills/Qualifications:
Leadership experience, especially with an ISR OCONUS program or prior military experience
Proven leadership aptitude
Ability to participate in a team-based leadership structure with other companies, contractors, and customers
Demonstrated reflection and promotion of Dynamic Aviation values
Ability to operate as a servant leader
DHC8 PIC Type rating and previous Dash-8 ISR experience
EO/IO sensor operating experience
Air Transport Pilot or Current FAA Commercial Pilot License with Instrument and Multi Engine ratings
High Performance and High Altitude Endorsements
First or Second Class Medical and Restricted Radiotelephone Operators Permit
Minimum of 2500 hours total time
Minimum of 1000 hours PIC, 300 hours DHC8 PIC
Ability to travel away from home location for approximately 65 days on a rotational basis based on customer needs (longer if needed)
DOD Secret security clearance (TS/SCI security clearance preferred)
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Working knowledge of computer operating systems and other relevant field technology
Ability to crawl in and out of confined or tight spaces; ability to work in close proximity to other people, and in enclosed hangars and exterior weather conditions
Ability to lift, balance, and carry up to 50 lbs; ability to sit, stand, and kneel for extended periods of time.
