US Army Civilian Human Resources Agency Lead Human Resources Specialist (Classification) in United States

Summary About the Position: THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION. This position is based out of the Classification Civilian Human Resources Service Center for the Civilian Human Resources Agency, Army Materiel Command Human Resources Directorate. This position serves as team lead advisor and consultant on a diverse spectrum of classification and position management functions. Responsibilities Serves as a lead for a Civilian Human Resources Service Center providing oversight, mentorship, and guidance to a team of 8 classifiers supporting the Army Materiel Command and it's major subordinate elements. Analyze trends and forecast changes in workforce requirements that will meet future mission demands. Plan and conduct special projects or studies to identify and resolve operating issues and problems. Serve as a consultant to managers in providing Human Resources services and conduct detailed analyses of complex functions within serviced organizations. Monitor program implementation and administration to assure compliance with established policies, regulations, and practices. Conduct training of Civilian Human Resources Service Center employees and members of serviced organizations. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing advisory services on a wide range of complex classification actions using available resources; 2) Analyzing civilian human resources problems or issues to recommend appropriate courses of action or solutions; AND 3) Leading Civilian Human Resource projects or initiatives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Position Classification Problem Solving Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Career Program (CP) 10 - Civilian Human Resources Management position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
