What we're looking for:
Citrix has experienced rapid growth in our Delivery Networks Division and we are looking for a driven, enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to join our Sales Engineering team as a Networking Sales Engineer.
As a Networking Sales Engineer (SE), you will be responsible for the technical relationships with customers, partners and prospects. You will identify and match technology opportunities with our customers’ business needs. In this technical pre-sales role, you will showcase and drive sales of Citrix Networking product solutions (Citrix ADC, Unified Gateway, App Firewall, SD-WAN, and Citrix Application Delivery Management). You will be comfortable with talking to Senior IT stakeholders and not be afraid to get hands on with the tools when needed.
Working closely and collaboratively to support the Northern Region Sales Team and Managed Services Partners (Queensland, New South Wales and New Zealand) and make a significant contribution to achieving both short and long-term goals for the territory.
Creating and delivering technical product demonstrations, presentations, proofs of concept, network designs and support
Using your solid understanding of Commercial and Government departments, their compliance and regulations standards
Delivering product training and skills transfer to channel partners, integrators and users
Participating in consultations and/or product capability assessments with prospects
Creating and maintaining formal relationships with key decision makers
Serving as an external spokesperson for Citrix
Developing and maintaining a broad knowledge of intelligent application switching issues and trends as they relate to Citrix ADC solutions.
Leveraging and maximising partner engagement while working with Citrix end user accounts on IT initiatives
Working on issues that impact design/selling success or address proof of concepts, products or technologies
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5 - 8 years plus years prior sales engineering experience in a high tech environment in an indirect sales and procurement environment with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology
Citrix Certified Professional or Citrix Certified Expert certification is preferred
Pre-sales consulting experience is required in any of these technology areas:
Routers and Switches/ Core Networking
Security (Web, Email, Content, Firewalls)
Data Center (Storage Virtualisation, Virtual Switching
Application Delivery Controllers
Transition to cloud
Certification and experience in architecting solutions on AWS and/or Azure
Ability to travel within assigned territory
Experience in Analytics, End User Compute and Workspace solutions are desirable skills for this position.
